Ceo4aday the blog which offers a perspective from the corner office and provides  insightful commentary on political, economic and  business issues that effect our entrepreneurial culture and free enterprise system, is pleased to announce that we have exceeded 200,ooo views since our launch in December 2008.

We have been writing extensively about the Obama administration and the President’s intent to transform America from a global beacon of free enterprise and entrepreneurism to a Eurotopian socialist nation that is committed to a progressive agenda which will weaken our traditional economic institutions and promote the expansion of  government incursion into American society.

We believe that the arrogance of this President compounded with his lack of relevant experience is leading America along a transformational path which will result in an America where class war is the rule of the day as his progressive agenda can only be funded by extracting a greater toll through the oppressive taxation of those who already fund a disproportionate percentage of the nation’s tax burden.

We believe that an unfettered free enterprise system is an integral component of the promise of America as conceived by the founding fathers and is essential to assuring the American way of life. Barack Obama does not have an appreciation for our free enterprise system. Obama believes that corporations and entrepreneurs should be taxed at the highest rate the market will bear to support an agenda in which individual rights and liberties are secondary to the needs of an ever burgeoning government bureaucracy.

We are increasingly concerned about the alliance between the progressive movement and the labor unions that have shaped the agenda for both the Democrat Party and the Obama administration. We believe the strong arm tactics utilized by the administration to bolster the position of the UAW are criminal and merit investigation by an independent council to determine if indeed the administration is providing pay back for the enthusiastic support by the unions during the 2008 Presidential campaign.

We appreciate the support of all our readers and will continue to provide topical commentary on the aforementioned as well as other items of interest from our perspective.

We remain focused on the actions of the Obama administration as they address the current economic crisis and the anticipated results of the American Recovery and Investment Plan of 2009. We also take note of Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi’s attempt to inprove her flight status.

We are encouraged by the recent positive rhetoric emerging from the Obama administration as it relates to the market and expect it will continue as the markets have  begun to rally in the past week.

We thank all our readers for your continued support as we continue to focus on the need to support entrepreneurial solutions during this current period of economic recession. We continue to support the initiative to create and fund the United States Office of Entrepreneurship to stimulate innovation and entrepreneurial endeavors.

We have been writing of late about the American Recovery Act and the failure of the act to support entrepreneurial ventures. We have also commented extensively about the need for President Obama to portray the American economy in a more positive light. His continued descriptions of the economy in crisis and usage of the term catastrophe is only serving to further erode consumer and investor confidence.

We look forward to the President’s address this evening and trust that he will present the American economy in a more hopeful manner.

The advent of the Obama Administration has seen markets continue to fall, retailers continue to shutter their doors and daily announcements from corporate America regarding right sizing and lay offs. This has led to a continued decline in consumer confidence as fear becomes a prominent factor in decision making.

American consumers are being  informed by their President that the current economic crisis which dominates our news media is catastrophic. In speech after he speech the President has lowered expectations for America’s economic performance. He seems to be wavering at times between the rhetoric of Lincoln and FDR as he seeks early in this term to find a mantle upon which to place the hand that has been dealt him.

As the President and his administration, continue to talk down the economy and erode what little confidence remains among America’s consumers, we begin to hear increasingly, that an economy based on consumerism, the conscious consumption of goods and services to yield an economic benefit, is coming to an end.

As an alternative, we are being offered a society in which individual sacrifice for the greater good will be the mantra of the day. We find nothing wrong with wanting to help others and in fact we encourage the practice. However, our economy and the global economy is based on consumerism. We are a culture that generally yearns for more. We are aspirational by nature. We are products of a capitalist system that has proved resilient over centuries by relying on the aspirations and initiative of individuals.

We as a people must stay strong of heart and true in our conviction that we will overcome the current economic malaise. We are a gifted nation that has weathered many economic storms through our history and will once again sail through these rough waters to find a calmer economic sea where the currents are running toward consumption. Feel good today. Buy something and help save America form a crisis in confidence.
